The project aims to reconceptualize cultural heritage through the lens of migration by exploring traces of mobility,
violence and solidarity and establishing their significance for political theory and action towards justice. The project will
undertake ethnographies of heterogeneous heritage-making practices and sites along migration routes from Africa to
Europe, across national and continental boundaries, focusing on the political agency and relationalities of vulnerable
migrants and their advocates
