Snapshot of project
Objectives
Beneficiaries
The project’s scientific hypotheses assume that human iPS cells’ genotoxic response to MeHgCl is developmental stage-dependent and linked to the respiratory glycolytic/oxidative switch upon their transition from pluripotent to the neurally committed stage. To test this hypothesis specific research aims will include verification in control human iPS cells and at different stages of neural differentiation with specific endpoints.
1 Technology transfer 2 PhD training
Role of UNIMI
Application of an Integrated Testing Strategy (ITS) in order to evaluate the toxicological effects of Methyl Mercury Chloride (MgHgCl) as well as absorption profile using epithelial in vitro barriers and collecting human epidemiological data on exposure to MgHgCl.
