Snapshot of project

ObjectivesBeneficiaries
–         To strengthen the role of the University in the process of defining the political-institutional reform lines, through studies and research on humanist political thought and on experiences of reform at the regional and international levels, and opening channels of collaboration and exchange with other Latin American and European universities.
–         To contribute to the local development of the province of Santa Clara through the strengthening of its University. This aim needs financial support to improve structures and international collaborations and exchanges that allow it to grow and generate a positive impact on the local economy and politics, in terms of poverty reduction, promotion of sustainable development, human rights and the path of democratization.
Role of UNIMI
–         Consideration might well be given to a MoU with these universities, and to sign an agreement for academic cooperation aiming at developing a research network
–         on Latin American humanist political thought,
–         on the role it is having and can have in institutional transformations, with particular reference to the construction and consolidation of democracy and the protection of human rights;
–         a mobility partnership for students and teachers in the various degree courses of political sciences and, more generally, of humanities.
To contribute to the creation of a scientific and legal support network for institutional reform paths at the local and national levels, as well as to the improvement and development of local academic institutions
